Lexi Schultz, 2001–2015
Lexi Schultz, 2001–2015, was a bright light in the lives of everyone she met. Her sudden passing from a staph infection that turned septic shocked her community, but her legacy of kindness, determination, and inclusiveness lives on.
Lexi was a go-getter, a lover of volleyball, and an unfailingly positive force. She had a way of making everyone feel special, especially those who didn’t have many friends.
The Live Like Lexi Foundation was created to honor her memory by helping young women through volleyball scholarships and opportunities — ensuring that her spirit of kindness and hard work continues to inspire others. Starting with Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s volleyball team, the foundation seeks to spread kindness and help others reach their full potential, just as Lexi would have.

Where the work starts
The foundation began with Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s volleyball team, funding an annual education scholarship for a player who works hard, keeps her grades up and gives back to the players coming after her. From there, we’re growing into mentorship, resource access and community outreach.
